This program takes very little time to master and offers a lot of content. I learned Swedish as a pre-school child in Sweden. Reading and expanding my vocabulary has been difficult and tiresome. The method offered with iSpeak brings use and learning together. I write an email in English to someone who can read Swedish. I study the translated message before sending it. Well worth $1.99 in my opinion. Being able to translate a Swedish email recieved would be worth... $19.00. Saving ones translated text will no doubt create a meaningful set of lessons for the user. This application is, to me, as much a toy as it is a tool for learning ... hur man skrivar pa Svenska.

I was reluctant to pay $2 for a language app since so many others are free, but Im glad I did! This has a seemingly endless vocabulary: I even put in slang words & phrases & they translated totally accurately and "speaks" them correctly as well!

The app doesnt work without internet connection contrary to what iTunes stated. Thats upsetting. I cant use it unless Im in a place where I can have internet connection. Other than that I found translations to be pretty accurate.

I cant believe these people here !!!! This is an amazing software... The translations are super accurate ... I used to use an online dictionary but it took me a lot of time and it was word by word... This software translates whole setences and even whole paragraphs.... In brief Im super happy with it .... I think peole who whine are quite dumb because this is seriously a good way to improve your Swedish... Even my Swedish girlfriend agrees ;). And no Im not payed to say this .. Cheers

Great app. I just wish it worked offline when I was out and about in the city.

Back to 5 stars !!! This update works perfect on IOS 4. Very nice upgrade to interface as well. I have just purchased your newly rolled-out languages too.

Some bad moments

I get it... no library to keep the size down and to allow for constant updating to the database. BUT... I am in Sweden... and I dont have wireless access. I have a network line to my computer where I am staying and I downloaded this app to use... no good. It doesnt work at all. :( This product discription was not clear at all. Sorry, I have no choice but to give this product 1 stars cause I have no idea if it works or not.

This is a total waste of money! It does not work on in iOS 4 on the new iPhone! Problems: Type in a phrase, there is no way to dismiss the keyboard. Press the translate button and the app simply disappears. I had not tried the old versions, but giving the developers the benefit of the doubt, it seems the developers were not ready for the new OS and phone.

I downloaded this app, hopeful that the translations would be more accurate than google and the itranslate app. I tested both this app and the itranslate app, using identical English sentences. The translations were identical, word for word. Why buy a Swedish-only app when you can get many languages with other free app? Im disappointed, but I shouldve known there is no replacement for actually learning the language.
